Partnership Aims to Improve Quality, Affordability of Surgical Care
February 18th, 2021 – The Orthopaedic Implant Company (OIC) today announced a contract agreement with IPG's Integrated Surgical Solutions, the leading provider of surgical cost management solutions in the U.S. IPG and OIC are committed to providing more price transparency and affordable surgical care.
The partnership facilitates access for more than 400 IPG health plan clients and facilities across the country, including hospitals and surgery centers, to savings data associated with OIC’s implants. Most importantly, savings realized by using OIC implants are passed along to the patient. IPG’s and OIC’s missions are complimentary; both aim to foster a more fair and equitable healthcare environment for patients built on market transparency and appropriate device costs.
“IPG believes what we believe – that in order to change the culture of healthcare, we must actively look for ways to make high quality surgical care more affordable,” said Itai Nemovicher, President and CEO of OIC. “More and more orthopaedic trauma procedures are moving into outpatient settings, along with a growing number of underinsured or uninsured patients. We have a responsibility to provide implants that can heal patients both clinically and financially. Our partnership with IPG helps us continue to do this.”
